See, Reece is a doctor, and her schedule is too tight and unpredictable to plan a weekend in Paris, as he would prefer. He wants to get her something totally memorable, and the idea sparks Reece loves comics, and she's a goner for the Avengers. He visits her fave comic shop and that's when he pieces together a plan--to make a sexy cosplay for his geeky, beautiful, brilliant girlfriend.
Zach orders costumes for Thor, Iron Man, Hawkeye and Captain America, and builds his own Bruce Banner, studying the comic lore for details of each, all in the effort to build an unforgettable seduction for Reece. The birthday surprise? Let's just say Reece is one satisfied lady.
This is full-on erotica, and full-frontal cosplay. Such a fun, kinky, premise and delish steamy scenes. Reece is charmed by Zach's gift, and they make some plans to advance this kink....

Cosplay – according to Wikipedia - a portmanteau of the words costume play, is a performance art in which participants called cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character or idea.
I thought it would be fun to start this off with the definition, just in case there is someone reading this that had no clue what it means. Once I read this definition however, I had to adjust my thinking just a bit. My understanding of the term had this happening only at conventions or something of the like. But according to this definition, Zack – the main character of this story – had a better idea of the term than I. Though I will admit, he did get rather creative in the “performance art” part of the definition.
Now that we understand what cosplay is, let’s talk about fantasy. For instance, I think that is the subgenre that this story could go in. I mean think about it. Not only does Zack dress up in costume to give his lady a hot fantasy lover – or two, but he actually comes up with the idea. All. On. His. Own. *sigh* Forgive me, but my experience is not with guys who actually come up with wonderfully creative ideas to please me. Hence I read. But, this was just so cool even though it was more fantasy to me than potential reality.
Zack knew he wanted to do something special for Reese’s birthday. I mean, he actually remember when her birthday was and that this one might be special for her. He gave it a lot of thought, did the research, and executed a very special day for his very special lady. *sigh* Every woman’s fantasy. In my humble opinion, that makes Zack the real hero of the piece. Why? Well because he didn’t particularly get her geeky side to begin with. But for her, he dove in and created this special day. *sigh* My newest book boyfriend!
This is a must read for anyone who likes erotic romance – period. Do not worry about the geek factor. Concentrate on the hot guy going out of his way to please his lady. *sigh* That is just so HOT!

Nerdy & Smutty!
A Different Kind of Cosplay is a short read, but by no means skimps on the hot!
Zachary wants to get his girlfriend Reese an extra special 30 year birthday present. She is a big comic book nerd that loves superheroes and cosplay. Zach doesn’t share this hobby so finds himself in a bit of a pickle. He turns to Reese's DVD collection in hopes of finding the answers. What ensues is some clever trickery, secret shipments, and a not so pointless decoy.
I really enjoyed this story. I am a big nerd myself so one could say I am a little biased, but this is a very hot & steamy read regardless of your preferences for dress up.
The narrator was excellent. There were distinct differences between the narrator and the different characters, both male and female, which made for a nice listening experience.
This is my first read by this author and my first listen by this narrator. I am looking forward to listening to some more from both of these lovely artists.

Lucy Felthouse’s A Different Kind of Cosplay is one hell of a hot and kinky read! If you have ever wondered what it would be like to get up close and personal with your fave superheroes then here’s your chance to find out in this fast and furious erotic read!
Reese is certainly one lucky girl when Zach her estate agent partner, who is not usually an Avengers fan, takes her and her libido completely by surprise, when he proceeds to ravish her in a series of deliciously kinky and lust filled role playing scenes, the likes neither of them has ever encountered before… Reese’s fantasies about her screen idols are realised and both are inspired to push the boat out when it comes to new experiences! Trying to keep a fairly neutral face on my local bus route into town when I was reading a number of their encounters was extremely challenging.
The read contains erotic and kinky scenes which hit the spot again and again (and then some more). I now know what will be going at the top of my own birthday wish list. A copy of this book was provided by the author for the purpose of a fair and honest review.
Most definitely out of my wheel house, I'm not sure how I feel about this storyline. As always though Lucy Felthouse weaves a wonder tale.
